How I Used Super Glue to Avoid a Trip to the ER
And why that's probably a bad idea.
Fair warning: this post will be bloody. This is a story about cutting myself while processing a rabbit and I include photos for illustration. Also, I am not offering medical advice. I am not a doctor or even a medic and everything I discuss here falls under the heading of “probably a bad idea.”
You’re going to have days when you don’t want to live this lifestyle anymore. I had one of those Saturday. As someone who offers preparedness advice, I think it’s important to share both my mistakes and successes, both for accountability and so others can learn from my experiences. For that reason, I’m including after-action commentary from my friend, medic Tom Rader, creator of the Medical Points Abroad Portable Medical Kit, who has used super glue on “a metric ton of climbing injuries.”
