But if you support a ‘constitutional carry’ where literally anyone can own a gun, surely there are always going to be a minority carrying guns who will have no feeling of responsibility. Isn’t that an argument for mandatory licensing?
I understand that. I think I’d be the same if I was American. You are lucky to have a written constitution. Over here in Britain we don’t, and so our rights are given and taken away at the whim of whichever flavour of nutters are in government at any given time!

I support it because that is our constitutional right. Not a privilege, a right. But that doesn't mean it's always a good idea.
